I have too many pots...

That doesn't mean I intend to give any away!
I was planning the repotting of a few trees today and this tea tree literati style is growing out of its pot so it is time for a new house (or maybe back into its old house). That meant that I needed to pick a pot and thus the problems started

Here it is today.
It does flower and looks fantastic (the flowers that is).

I very like rugged crackle Aussie pot. The transition from rugged pot -> awesome moss -> nice bark of that tree would look good I reckon. Otherwise just send me the rugged crackle Aussie pot to help narrow down any future similar decisions you need to make :tu:

I rather like the Aussie crackle pot, as the pot complements the texture of the bark. Having said that, they are all great looking pots, so it comes down to a personal preference.

In this case, size does matter.

You need a Goldilocks pot, not too small or insignificant that the tree blows over or overwhelms the tree, and not too big or clunky
Interested to see your choice.

I vote for 7i, rugged crackle
You’re definitely spoiled for choice! I too have some pots not in use, yet feel I compelled to get more at the next local show...

Just to throw out something different I don’t mind 7d… or the green glazed one for something different (7h I think). Whatever one you choose, I’d look to plant it more to the left in the pot, rather than centre to help balance the lean to the right.
Spoiled for choice!!

I really can't see how any of these can possibly work. ;)

Thank you all for your input. I do like the Goldilocks analogy.
It would be better if there was only the old pot and one new pot but anyone that knows me would know that I am a compulsive pot collector :palm: .
The repot will be done early November so I will let you know.
November - I may have time to get a couple new pots by then  .

You clearly have a serious problem. I can assist with the Pot Donation Centre that I will set up very close to here...

I was enjoying the tree, but then the left branch and the low right branch felt like they started to fight each other. I could imagine cutting that whole left branch off, or the low right - or even the whole tree above the left branch... Then plant it way left in something small.

On the other hand, I could be seriously wrong. Just a thought.

A vote for 7D for me. Great colouring that may throw off a little of the pink to es from the flowers. Otherwise for a sense.of stability I think 7A keeps it strong and not looking like it'll fall over.

From one avid pot collector to another, I'm looking forward to seeing the final choice.

Cheers,
Pearcy.

Mel, I think that is a little radical for me but I appreciate your photoshop effort.
I am starting to think Gavin could be correct, the removal of a branch could improve it.
Decisions; decisions........
