I have a few questions, firstly would someone be willing on the QT to tell me where in Melbourne I could go to dig for English Elms. Looking for a stump and also a raft /forest. Please pm me if your willing to share your site info.
My other question is are there two English Elms ? I have seen large leaves on some and smaller leaves by a third on others. If there are two different English Elms. The large leaf I know is English Elm (Ulmus procera) what is the name of the smaller leaf variety?
The other thing that’s bugging me is Privet, the small leaf variety is it green all the time? In Hawthorn we have a lot of small leafed hedges. But they are a mixture of green and yellow leaves so is there a small leaf green only variety or is the green and yellow another variety. I’m even getting confused typing this :lost:
Thanks guys.
Cheers
Kirky

privets are declared noxious weeds in most shires of New South Wales (not in other states or territories)

So some less exposure here to them but there is a golden privet variety that's leaves go a yellow colour. As to Elms no idea sorry Kirky.
