when repotting figs the roots grow back before your eyes

hey people
and its only been 13 days since i repotted them.
When i cut the root ball i only left about a small fist full of roots so there wer'nt much rot left at all. This goes to show that figs can be hacked into even on the hottest days and power on even stronger then if you didn't touch them at all. i just repotted a new 'raft' composition that i put together on the weekend so now im wandering how long its going to take for that to shoot off, im guessing not long
. So if your wandering if its ok to repot a fig now then i would say its ok aslong as you look after them a bit afterwards.

i was looking at the 3 figs that i repotted about 13 days ago and noticed that there were roots coming out of the bottom of the pot!
