What is this??

I have been asking around and have yet to get any response as to what this white spotting inside the Squamata is.
The tree does not have spider mite or root rot and like others in our collection has been sprayed .
I chopped of the top 20 cm as it had died down to this level. The rest at this stage is still green with new growth showing.
I know these guys can slowly die totally , but was hoping for an answer anyway.
At present I have left it soaking in seasol .
The tree has never been wired .
