It is our Showman of the Bonsai, and would like to show some of its works.

Before the work, in September of 1998. The plant was chosen by the ramification low and the very interesting trunk…

After a drastic pruning…
Image
Now in training pot…

Image
Impressive recovery, Photo in November of 1998…
Image
Already in 2002 after one it takes away the leaves, we notice the much more mature and ramified structure…
Image
Back...
Image
Now in 2003, also after plus one it takes away the leaves…
Image
Already in 2005 in a bigger vase to leave it to grow a little and to speed up the cicatrization of the cuts…
Image
In June of 2009 before it takes away the leaves…
Image
After it takes away the leaves, the not defined structure already after some prunings of election and refinement… As soon as it will be with leaf places the photo, ok? Height: 28cm. - Trunk: 8cm.
They exist exemplary of this tree in: Java, Taiwan, Phillipines, Macao…

Fantastic starting stock and you have done great things with it. Can you post a photo of the tree in fruit?? I love the way it fruits along the branches so it can be kept in shape by pruning without losing fruit. The jaboticaba is available in Sydney but no way will you buy a trunk like yours. Well done!!! You have some lovely trees.

Excellent tree 8-) I have one of these in my yard and the fruit are nice ,they are just starting to finish now and new growth starting ,also brazillian cherry but fruit only nice for 1/4 sec then sour . Do both these species air layer well ? Once again nice tree :D

Bundyfisher, your cant air layer Myrtaceae trees, the wood is very hard and the roots dont grow.

Friends, In the Pitanga (Brazilian Cherry) delay a little. To put is viable. In the Jaboticaba, being it in the soil, also can be made the Air Layering, 1 year delays the process.

Thanks :) I take that to mean yes to airlayering the brazillian cherry and yes to cuttings of the jaboticaba
