Here is the biggest privet of the 3 dropped off to me recently by a mate...didnt have time to pot it since I was going away to Canberra for the week the next morn so it sat in my front yard for a full week until this morning without a pot or water...this morning I hacked back at the roots and stuck it in the ground to recover. Will be interesting to see whether or not a privet can recover from being out of the ground for over a week with bit of soil still stuck to the rootball.

Anyway, here are the shots

Very nice. I've never seen good rough looking bark on a previvet like this before.

One year after club members helped me dig trees from the growing beds about 6 chinese elms were left sitting on a sheet of plastic, overlooked when the rest of the trees were replanted. i found them a week or so later and planted them again. All survived the experience although they did have a little more soil around the roots than this privet.
Good luck.
