Had this Mel for a while now - cant remember what type? Never really photographed it's progression but seeing as it was due for haircut I thought I would post a few pics up. Found this below shot from 2022

Over time its just been left to develop with the occasional clip prune. I've been wanting to develop some deadwood branches to the underside so have been allowing sections to grow thick & then stripping off the foliage to create dead twigs.
Anyway enough words here are some pics..

The trunk is a stunner, and you are right about the deadwood - maybe some up among the greenery as well?
Lovely work.

A years already gone past so I guess it's update time. (These progression threads really make you realise how time can fly by...)
This tree has been powering on & enjoying the high rainfall Newy has just experienced.
A light trim for Winter - Still trying to obtain a twiggy understory...here's a few out of focus pics.
