Last Tuesday I went to help my young Bonsai buddy/ sitter he had a problem. So i went to give him a hand as friends do.

What I did not do was ask Mrs Pup to give the Miniatures a supplementary watering, as it was a very windy day with the temperatures expected in the high 30's.

It got to 37 as i said with high winds, disaster these tree's suffered badly! while others did not.
What I now hope to bring you is a chronological recovery story.

Here are the tree's now as at the 21 December 009.
There are three natives and one exotic. They were in the same situation as 40 other miniatures, so I am puzzled. First things first get them back to health. Using the same methods I have used in the past with Houdini the Melaleuca on 360%. Seasol and Superthrive every second day alternating.
Then hope. It behoves us to show our disasters, as well as our success's, lets hope this can be a success. As you can see I have cut back all the dead branches and twigs.
Not completely as I need some wood for the foliage to grow on.

Up dating the tenacity of our natives for survival. The original pics show what happened. This is today at 9 am 29-12 just 8 days later.

Well on the way Pup, should be back to their usual appearance. BTW there was an argument going on in my garden last night and the morning revealed that my two best crabapples had been consumed by the local possum mafia. Hardly a leaf left but the apples were still there. So I have done a complete defoliation including the crop of apples and will await with bated breath to see the trees recover, which they should. I have moved them to another part of the garden to recover.

I have a saying for this occurrence its called OH! BUGGER. I hope your trees respond to your care John.
I am sure they will, as for the mafia . Fortunately we do not have that problem.
Just wandering cats that like to try and catch the birds that fly though my trees. Then knock the trees from there pedestal's,
so a redesign is needed. Ah well we keep trying.
