Eucalyptus erythrocorys, Red Capped Gum

Seed sourced from Nindethana Seeds

Sown 31-7-24 in standard seed raising mix. No pretreatment.

These guys are starting to stir They've had over 100mm of rain on them over the past few days so hopefully that'll help kick everything along a bit.

All my Eucalypts have hit the ground running so hopefully this is a good sign for things to come. I've slip potted them into larger containers so they should continue to grow well. I probably won't update again until the trees are large enough that I will select 3 or 4 to focus on for the rest of the comp.

These guys are going OK. They got a bit wet under the auto waterers so I've repotted a few into a 50/50 mix of scoria and potting mix to try to improve the drainage. I might try to knock back the water a bit too.

These guys did NOT like getting transplanted and most just gave up the ghost. I've got a couple left though and one that I've planted in my front yard. Will see what transpires over the next 6 months or so, these might be too much of a pain.
