Here my entry to SYANBS, i have picked two local species of wattle with bipininate leaves. Hoping these will be hardy enough to survive my first year of starting bonsai, and hopefully give me flowers, and fast-ish growth.
Seed sourced from tas wildseed. It was Treated with boiling water, for a few seconds before being cooled with cold water, (since its my first time treating seeds like this I wanted to insure they didn't get cooked), then allowed to soak overnight, seed that had swollen were planted out and then the process was repeated with the remaining seed. The silver wattle seeds all swelled up after one treatment, while the black wattles took 3 treatments.
Planted from the 24 to the 26th of December
