If you’ve stopped in at Bonsai Art in Heatherton any time in the last decade, his prices make this look like a steal.
Saw a 10cm tall air layer of shishigashira, no taper, pencil thick for $110

Ha ha.
The last time I looked for developed bonsai trees, I was presented with plants that looked much like that (ok they were in pots) selling for $150 or more that were worse than what I could pull out of wall in my local garden!
But I think it is like most niche hobbies, they are all expensive in one way or another?

Clearly prices in SE Qld are much lower!

Unless you head to berrigans road nursery. The prices are worse.
