[SELL] R3 JBP Seedlings - 2024 Vintage

Once again, time for me to send off a few JBP seedlings from last year's seed propagation.
I have 3 trays (12 trees per tray = 36 trees) that need a new home, pricing is consistent across all.
Individual seedlings : $12ea
Whole tray (12 seedlings) : $120

All seedlings underwent stem cutting late last year.

A few pictures attached for reference. The tape on the side measures 10cm from the top of the pot as a gauge on height. There are some that are taller, but this tray is a reasonable reflection of average sizes. Quite a few have low branching and buds developing already which is handy.
Pick up is absolutely preferred. The adult needles that are coming through are quite brittle at the moment as they are just developing so I can't guarantee they'll look the same after a ride on the delivery train, but they'll survive I think should you want them sent. I haven't checked but I think the ball park for Auspost (Express) is around $20 for 4-6 seedlings and approximately $30 for a tray, so you need to factor that in. It may be a bit more, it's been a little while since I posted so take those costs as indicative only.
Let me know if you have any questions/need clarification on anything/want more pictures etc...

Pick up and payment now complete… except for the couple I’m sending, but that is on me to organise.
Might be a few more advanced trees on offer in the coming weeks if there is interest. More than likely pines but a few other bits and pieces too, let me know.

OK.
I've fielded a few PMs etc in relation to this so here are a couple of trees that are up for grabs.
I'll post more as I get time to collate images/catalogue.
I know I said JBP, and there will be but I have come to the conclusion that I'll wait to see what comes out of the grow bed this winter before I decide what JBP will get put on the virtual "sales bench". If I had more space, they would probably all stay but I think there should be 10-12 ready to pot from the ground, so I'll need to make some room when that happens.
Apologies to those who sent messages specifically about JBP, get back to me in a few months!

I am going to request "pick up only" for all the following trees.
Sending seedlings in plastic pots is annoying but with larger trees in proper pots, you can add stressful/expensive/incredibly time consuming to pack among other things. I don't think I'm up for that.

First up is an Austrian Black Pine, Pinus nigra.
I have had this for about 7 years, but not one I grew from seed (it originally came from Bonsai Sensation). It is looking very "woolly" at the moment... could do with a thin out but I'll leave that to the new owner ... or later in the year if it doesn't sell.
It's a nice tree with plenty of movement and branching. It buds profusely and is starting to develop some nice bark. I think the pot is a bit large for this tree, but it is a decent pot. Standing at about 260mm (26cm) from the top of the pot. I should have used the tape for the base image, but forgot! It is somewhere between 5 and 6 cms.
I can send more images upon request. If you're on Instagram I can provide videos (360 deg spin etc) should that help.

I have included an image of the tree (the last one) from one year ago, after a clean out so you can get an idea of how it will look (only better!) this year.

Chinese Elm with more rough/corky bark than the other ones I have.
I have had this tree for 9 years or so, and enjoyed growing it out to this level, but time to move it on to somebody else I think.
As with all Chinese Elm in my experience, it's a pleasure to work with. Always lots of budding and good response to bonsai work both above and below ground. A great established tree that could easily be show ready in no time, if not already. Standing at around 25omm (25cms) from the top of the pot, base around 6cms or so.
Again, as with the pine above, I can provide more pictures upon request or videos through Instagram if that is helpful.

A small Trident group (5 trees) that have been growing together for about 6 years or so.
There is good ramification that seems almost impossible to illustrate with the leaves on unfortunately, but it's a nice small group that is a bit different to the typical trident plantings I've seen. Thickest trunk is just under 2cms or so at the base, the canopies have been grown to meld together. the root masses (particularly on the 3 to the right) have fused under the surface nicely, and the others are not far off joining them.
Total height from top of pot is 250mm (25cms).
More photos etc on request ... as above.
$230

I have had a bit of success with selling on a few natives that didn't quite make it to this thread before they were spoken for, so space is appearing which is nice!
I'll :bump: once more for the last few posts (above) in case there is any interest, but then probably leave it at that.

And I'm going to put this trident up for sale.
Nice tree with a good base and decent developed branching.
I don't have details on the pot, but it is a beautiful match for the tree and in great condition (no chips/cracks etc).
You can see the progression over the years on this thread :
https://www.ausbonsai.com.au/forum/view ... hp?t=22641
It's a hard one to let go, but hopefully someone can take it on and give it the opportunity to become the great tree it can be.
Strictly pick up in Melbourne for this.
$480
Again, I can provide more pics etc.
