Has anyone tried to Bonsai a....

Berberis Darwinii?? From what I've seen in books, I think it would make a nice bonsai but maybe I'm wrong. If anyone has done it, a photo would be greatly appreciated.

Hi John, not my tree but found this picture of one i saved from some where on the net.
Mum has them at her placei think. But i dont remember them being sticky plants.
I had bought a plant similar to it , and now its gone.cheers! :D

i have a thunbergii, actually the photo you put up petra looks very much the same...

they transplant very well, mine is just stumpy at the moment, but i absolutely massacred it and it bounced really well, i have used a fairly inorganic mix.

G'day Jester, yes i have an old one but i dont think you will see them at Kokofo any time soon. They flower but i have not been able to do that with mine. They also have very nasty prickles. Mine got smashed in the storm i posted but it looks as though it will survive. I also have a mini hybrid which i am working on and i think it will be a far superior tree.
