Does anyone have any experience of field growing native trees to accelerate trunk development ?

I am currently doing this with 2 casuanrina varieties and a Melaleuca linarifolia. The same principles as field goring exotics apply in my opinion with some consideration to species specific treatments.

Eg: Casuarina torulosa is very apical(?) dominant. I keep the top needles plucks and stake the ends of the lower branches up to thicken them.

I have Melaleuca and Grevillea in the ground, and until I moved house, had Eucalypt and Wattle in the ground to develop. I will them back in this year
No need to treat natives any differetly than exotics I think.
