I noticed a tree at this link and I would like to know what you all think of it

The tree I'm looking at is in the second row down, on the far right
This tree is very much styled, but styled like no other tree I have seen before.

Let me know whether you like or dislike the tree and why

I have seen this tree before and I love it, I guess it could be called a triple trunk literati style. It is probably a collected Scots Pine.

they are some very nice trees there on that website. I really like trees that look like the one your pointing out, its really nice and i like it alot is my answer Its different, but works well to look eye catching.

webos...I could be wrong ,but I rekon the reason you posted this , is because you're not sure if you like it or not yourself...and I'm wrestling with that too .The tree is obviously styled by a super talented artist,pushing "normal" boundaries and as such,my developing"bonsai eye" can't deal with all the movement going on in the composition,there seems to be a "clash" of left and right movement in there that my tiny brain can't seem to warm to yet.It's all about learning for me,so I'm glad I had a look, and also glad that you can comment in such a forum 'without fear of getting "howled down" ..Regs,,Dog.

I get the impression he is finding a style to suit the tree, rather than forcing the tree to conform to a traditional style. It might be a bit difficult to put in a class at a show, but it is a lovely and expressive tree, and he certianly has given it the best of his considerable technical skill.
At first I thought that the lower left branch was unnecessary, but quickly got to like the way it echoes the curve of the one above it.

G`day guys. I have to agree with bonzaidog I don`t find this tree pleasing to the eye, it`s like both sides conflict with each other. I see this as two trees in one , and both sides could be great trees on their own. It`s good to see artists push the conventional boundries but it has to work . CHEERS ROD...

I can imagine this tree as a full sized tree in the ground somewhere better than i can the others. Dont get me wrong, the others are great, and im not saying this is my favorite tree on the page. But it breaks the rules and yet somehow appears very natural to me, despite the fact the crowns give a different story about direction. Perhaps its the complexity of the branch structure that makes it seem to life like.

Bonzaidog...you got it right. This tree keeps me coming back to it. All the other trees on the page are amazing, but something about this one just takes my eye straight to it...maybe because it is so unconventional. I too am trying to see in the tree what the artist has attempted to portray, but I just dont. I cant see it emulating anything I know in nature. Something draws me too it, but my mind doesnt allow me to see it as convincing or beautiful..

Its a good example of styling difficult collected material and the use of refinement techniques.
Oh and its not in harmony no....

Its a tough one to love still I cant see a better way of doing it.
On the whole its captivating, dont know why I like it but I do.

I think these are the two ways this tree should have been styled, I love the upright version. JMHO ROD....

Rod is right, there is two tree's in one and they conflict with each other, I would lean toward removing the left side .......but......I would hate to be the one using the branch cutters hahaha.
