Can you repot and defoliate a fig at the same time?

Hi bonsai people. Can anyone help me with my question? Can you repot and defoliate a fig at the same time?
I defoliated my pj fig today and wanted to know if I can repot it also.

I do it just about everytime i repot. Take off most of the foliage

thanks Ken! I took off ALL the leaves and tips. Will it be ok like this?

if the tree is healthy enough to defoliate then repotting shouldnt be a problem mate :D with this warm weather (not sure of where you are) you shouldnt have a problem, as long as the after care is right and the tree was fed well before defoliation you should see new shoots and buds opening in about 4-6 weeks :D

YES, but I usually wait a week or so to allow the buds to get a head start while the roots are still attached.
