do you know this specie? is it good? suggestions to a good pot are welcome.. maybe a retangular blue..glazed..

Brown, oval without unglazed, would make a beautiful set :pot+Trunk color with the leaves and flowers of the species.

Luciano, thanks, do you think that we can put some royal navy blue or any kind of blue like the azaleas? do you think that blue will contrast more with the flowers?

I like the brown unglazed pots.
They are neutral and they do not compete with the plant.

i agree with luciano, brown unglazed, it is neutral and earthy which will work in well instead of taking over, i think a blue glaze would contrast to much.

A Cream coloured or a subdued green oval both would complement the flower and the foliage. Blue will also go with it but if it is too dark it will contrast too much,

humm, understand..but just one question , the real objective is to show the tree itsself right? not the vase? because in the art of bonsai we privilege the plant not the pot? so, anything that call attention more then the tree will not fit as good combination. am'i correct?

Yes the tree is important, but the put Must match the tree Other wise it will not be harmonious

Hello Amazonia,
I am intrigued by you plant. I grow a small tree here called hamamelis mollis common name witch hazel it flowers yellow in winter on bare stems. I have never seen your hamamelis before. Is it common in your part of the world ? Is it deciduous ? Please tell me more.

well, i call it(pink,red,white) hamamelis, my sensei(mentor) told me that a few occorence in japan(red) and the pink originated from Canadá...but i'm not sure about it!.. for instance she is doing good, don't you think?
it is deciduos! for my luck

Hi Amazonida,
My witchhazel is a garden plant not a bonsai.If you want my opinion about the pot I would use a glazed pot to accent the flower colour. Your tree looks extremely healthy you should be really pleased with it. The word bonsai means tree and pot the two elements are inextricably linked.

I continue seeing the figure inclined tree in a oval, brown pot, unglazed.
It is a Shakkan, in the pot of Kengay would pass the unreliability sensation.

Personally, out of the two pots pictured, I would prefer to see it in the rectangle one. But I do agree that an oval pot might be better
