A mate of mine was chasing pigs in Northern tablelands of N.S.W recently and came across this Blackboy.
Knowing how slowly they grow, this clump could be 1000 years old!

Has anyone ever seen a bigger one?

Very nice tree's. I have seen some monsters around the bunya mountains and up around kroombit tops in central qld. They are not all as slow growing as many believe " a five-metre tall member of the fastest growing Xanthorrhoea may be 200 years old, a member of a more slowly-growing species of equal height may have aged to 600 years"
They are amazing tree's, heaps around the sunny coast but only fairly small, maybe 2-3m max
