cupress macrocarpa?

does anybody know what time of year to take cutting off these?? and how hard they are to propagate??

I have not tried macrocarpa so can't give first hand advice but many thousands have been sold over the years so it can't be too hard.
In general for conifers, hardwood cuttings in winter are reliable but slow. As an indication, Junipers cuttings put in during winter here were rooted and potted up in december and January, some still have not set roots but could still do so; semi hard cuttings in spring were potted up about the same time. Cuttings taken in the growing season would need some form of humidity control or misting for best results.
