picked this up a few weeks ago from Megumi's it was in the 'rubiginosa' section, Meg wasnt there at the time
and Alex didnt know much about the tree. im leaning towards 'elastica' the leaves are huge.
couldnt pass it up for $40.

it was in some crappy soil so transplanted it into some scoria and a bit of potting mix
and it has'nt looked back.

agreed, go an airlayer, a sweet tree there on top, and it will increase taper afterwards with regrowth :D

no reason pal ;) cutting would work to, i would airlayer though as it is a guarantee of a perfect root system (in theory) to a cutting that may not strike completely around ;)

i just think for the success rate which would be 100% on air layer )or should be ) to a little less of a cutting, just playing the odds mate :D

yeah they do well ant :D i can get QSL fig to strike in a bowl of rice i reckon, as for willow leaf they are a bit touchier, i am getting better results now though, i have gone from 10% to about 50% so its going up, i guess its just the willow leaf are a bit more finicky. thats why i suggest air layer, with a fig its just about guarantee ;)
