well i have allways loved kimuras inclined landscape and after seeing luciano's one i thoght lets give it a go but im not sure what to do im thinking either clay but worried it will crack in the making or firing or to make it out of timber and use fibreglass and paint what do you guys think any one tried out of clay before .

I have not tried my hand at making pots or using fibreglass but if you went the fibre option is it possible to freeform it or do you need the timber as a base to build on? Could you use a wire mesh frame or something instead? Interested to see where you go with this, I really like the inclined idea replicating nature.

I would go with the fibre glass option pure for weight reasons. You would need a frame to work off Matt.

a light timber frame covered in mesh to fibre glass around is the way to go mate, that way you can get your basic timber shape then use the wire mesh to creat the areas needed for soil and rock like structures, i have heard cement fondue can be used in this fashion too

Paul sweeney once made one from pieces of cork bark reinforced by fiberglass through the underneath of the bark.

Just finished the first layer of cement on mine. This is prior, with just the wire / mesh mold.
