This is a callistamon i purchased back in Dec 2008. I had pup on my mind alot back then. Dont ask.  Perth struck a nerve with me. :P
Anyways when i got it, i cut half the root ball off and slipped it in a large poly box. I find it very vigorous and easy to grow. How ever the leaves are large compared to what i grow. ( Captain Cooks i think) A few weeks ago it got the job and the chop. It is starting to pop new growth and therefor left the post trauma unit for some much needed morning sun. This tree will always be my tribute to you Pup. :) ;) :|

ant i love your passion for growing stock, you will reach a stage where all your stock starts to reach maturity and you will have so much good material to work maybe even to much which you will in the end have to sell to me :D

SHARI , wish I could loose weight like that, but like all weight loss programmes you put it back on very quickly like this will do.
Callistemons are very quick growers and appreciate the clippers Antonio. Two years you will have a nice tree then cut back again. Have you teased the roots out ?.

We do go back a long way.
Cheers ;) Pup

Nice work Antonio!

It is always good to see somebody making the hard decisions for the good of the tree. So, you may seem lose some time, but the tree will be all the better for it. By the way, I am struck by the similarities between your Callistemon and one that I have in training:

Go Antonio!
