These 2 trees where purchased as starter stock in Dec 09. I had the rock already but i needed to drill the 2 holes through it so the trees could be planted in the rock. I then decided on using a pot which has a pond side and soil side. My idea was to create a planting that gives the image of a pond or small lake with a rocky outcrop on its shore with 2 natural looking trees growing out of the rock. I have done no wiring as yet as i want it to look like 2 trees growing naturally, and i also believe the way they are planted gave me the best shape anyway. I then used some moss i had around to give the rock an aged grown in look. The pond has some pebbles and rocks in it to give the impression of a mountain stream. Hope you like it.
