I lifted this tree from my garden 18mths ago. I reduced its trunk to about 30cm. It appears to be quite healthy, and have only done some basic styling as you can see. Help with a new image if you can please!

It's just a guess, but by the shape of the leaves i'd be guessing maybe elm or zelkova?

It has compound leaves so it is not an elm or Zelkova unfortunately- could you take a closer photograph of the whole compound leaf showing where it joins the stem so that I can see if the leaves are opposite or alternate?

i would say it is an Ash by its leaf but i dont think the bark is indicative of that species.

Could be a Cape Honeysuckle and sorry but I don't know the botanical name. Does it flower? Cape Honeysuckles have either hot red-orange or yellowy-green somewhat trumpet shaped flowers and my orange one [in Sydney] is flowering now. Popular species that can be grown as a hedge [mine goes up to 15' high] or a free standing bush. They can be bonsai and I will try to remember to check mine out tomorrow when the sun doth shine. Bark is textured and compound leaf lightly serrated. Very hardy plants.

I just Googled... Tecomaria capensis - a water wise plant, drought resistant and other good things. Wattle birds like it. It's described as a 'scrambling shrub' but becomes a fine privacy statement with regular pruning. If you Google Cape Honeysuckle or Tecomaria c you will come up with enough pics that you don't need one from my garden.

Its a golden rain tree, same as the other one he posted for ID, not sure of the latin name for it, someone did post on his other msg with a link to a pic, they are quickly becoming another weedspecies in this country so the more you rip out the better. The compound leaves do reduce quite considerably with time & training.

Golden rain tree is koelreteuria paniculata my spelling I think is not quite right but pretty close.
