This tree was collected at the same time as the previous one. It is a much bigger tree and is showing good health, it does not have much in the way of branches but the 2 trunks could be improved in the way of carving. I have had little experience in styling larger trees with significant trunks, any advice would be appreciated.

Hey Slug, this looks like golden rain tree, dont know its botanical name sorry. Never seen them used for bonsai, they have really coarse large growth. They are as tough as boots, so much so they have become another of the many invasive weed species that are taking over our bush. So you should have no trouble with it recovering.

Don't think your tree is one of those.

Possibly an Ash (Fraxinus sp.)

I have always considered that compound leaves are fairly unsitable for bonsai, but I'm sure others will disagree.

This tree is Tecoma stans, has yellow tube flowers in a bunch on the ends of branches, the familiy is Bignoniaceae.
