G,day Ozzy I have a very good one on the Miniature palms of Japan , Cultivating Kannonchiku and Shurochiku.
It is on growing the dwarf Rhapis palms the do not grow more than 1 metre, and there are natural variegated ones.
Cheers

Not reading anything at the moment, sigh, My reading glasses got terminated by the children and just when I could afford a new pair the shop shut. Such is life. I have problems reading newspaper print without them. I need to work on my book but cant read the references, grrr.
A nightmare for a longterm readaholic.

I'm currently reading (for the 5th time) Bonsai: Its Art, Science, History and Philosophy by Deborah Koreshoff.
Bonsai Its Art Science History and Philosophy.jpg
In my opinion, it is one of the best, if not the best, reference for those interested in the art of bonsai. If you haven't read it yet, I encourage you to get hold of a copy.
Regards,
Steven

I am constantly browsing through 'Bonsai Life Histories' by Martin Treasure.
Good book, with great 'Life Histories' (hence the title) of bucket loads of different bonsai species.

I totally agree! this is a VERY COMPREHENSIVE book! AND it means alot to me!, a copy of this book was given to my dad by my mums dad long ago. (the big black book

). The granddad in question was an oil man and never actually had much success with bonsai or grafting,
(not without many attempts
) , his art was found in his queensland nut trees, his plums, the dill pickle 'procedure'

and home brew

.... cant forget the sweet corn!!!! i miss this man (Mr Covey)!!!! and this book is a great memory for me!
anyway....
(Art, Science, History and Philosophy by Deborah Koreshoff) Highly Recommended!!!
