This is the way to collect Yamadori .The Pine plantation on Reform Hill in town is being clear felled and will be rejuvenated then planted out with natives . With the aid a 12 tonne excavator i ask the operator if he would pluck a couple of stumps out of the ground for me . I think he was more amazed that i could locate 2 Oak stumps chopped off at ground level amongst the destruction , than i was with the ease he change from an excavation bucket to a grappling claw .

The end result was an old Tripple trunk Desert Ash and 2 chopped English Oaks .Mind you i have yet to thoroughly search the site .

I know many different species are growing wild "Noxious weeds" of coarse so i will contact the party that will be involved in the transformation of the hill and get permission to remove several items for Bonsai

Hi Fella's going back again and again ,construction sites , road works , demolition sites look and you shall find .I have more front than Myers when it comes to asking anybody ,even if i see a nice tree in someones yard that i would like to get my hands on i simply go and ask if they would like to sell it .Don't always get a good answer but i doesn't hurt to try .Good hunting Alpineart
