Hi Cody
Welcome to ausbonsai ! Could I suggest you browse the forums to look for your tree and see what you info you can pick up ? Then if you have specific questions by all means ask - we love to help. Sometimes a photo can help - but read the forum on help first. And remmeber to have a neutral background behind the tree so we can see it

Are you a total newbie to bonsai or do you have some experience ? Anyway enjoy the site and the wonderful resources it offers
Tony

I am making the assumption that your are completely new to bonsai so.....Bonsai 101, plenty of sun, some protection from winds, water when the soil starts to become dry (this will vary in time depending on the size of the pot, weather and many other variables) Thats the ultimate basic basics of care and about the most your tree needs, for most of the year.
A couple of good websites with general care instructions for many species are

Welcome to Ausbonsai, as you can see there are always plenty of people around to help so dont be shy. Enjoy your tree and the many more that will follow as you get into it.

What Johnny needs is advice so I venture the following:-
The planting medium should be free-draining so watering every day is needed as a minimum. Never let it dry out completely. While active growth is taking place fertilize with a balanced formula twice during each month. Assuming that the tree has been trained to a pleasing shape, trim new shoots back to leave one or two sets of leaves. This will ensure that new twiggy growth will extend into a compact and dense canopy. =Don.
