I've just cut off and potted up an aerial layer of a swamp cypress I started 6 months ago. The temperature at the moment is 36deg. I hope it (and I) will survive the heat.
Some photos (what else).

Hi Penny,
I do hope that the weather would cool down a bit...

Good luck with its survival Penny.

Steven, I only wish.......
The temp is now about 40deg and I'm wilting.
When I potted it up, I lined the box with plastic up to 3cm from the bottom to keep the mix from draining too fast. The tree is potted higher than that so it wont be sitting in water and yes I know they like to be sitting in water in hot weather but I don't want to risk it so soon but I'll keep it moist until I see new growth. The parent tree is planted in the garden with a layer of plastic under the roots again to stop the water draining away too fast.
All the branches I cut off the layer are potted up too. They may still strike but usually Spring is the best time.
Penny.
