[SOLVED] I.D Please (FICUS)

This unidentified ficus was growing indoors at a nursery in a dim corner. It could be one of those mass produced 'pot belly bonsai' ?
The Petioles are dark green and up to 5mm. The largest leaves are up to 6cm long and 3cm wide, the underside is a few shades lighter, not hairy or reddish.
Bark is smooth, light grey almost white.
The plant is not much to look at and very hard to take seriously - it is odd!

but worth the few dollars I paid, for it sparked my interest and if comes good could make an interesting feature.

hi anja,
this one has me stumped, i havent seen leaves like that to often on these sort of figs, normally they are ficus microcarpa spp. but this one looks possibly like morton bay leaves.

Looks just like the mass produced ones you get in bunnings with the tops grafted onto big fat trunks (or roots?)

No worries, Jamie. Lmk if you want a cutting, I have a few going.
Yeah Neal, I think you're right. Perhaps this tree was a graft and the grafts died back resulting in this weird growth, hoping to get some back budding later in the year. I have a plan to pop it over a rock and chuck it in the ground for a few years when I find the right rock, or a log or something with interest.
The leaves feel papery and are curled a bit, really unusual. I consulted Leongs book but meh no luck.
