Hey there...CALLING ALL SLIPCAST POTTERS.... at one stage of my Bonsai years, I used to make Bonsai Pots and DAM good ones at that.... so if there is anyone on this site who is interested in carrying on where I left off, then I would be interested in chatting with them....if you want proof of my claims then look at my post on MY PASSION in this section " Australian Bonsai Potters..... a few conditions apply.... #1 you have to be a genuine slipcast potter IE: if you dont know what slipcast is then you aren't one....#2 you have to have had a few years of experience in the field of slip casting...#3 you must have a good kiln that can fire at high temperatures, preferably an electric kiln........# 4 you have to have all the equipment necessary for slip casting and also be able to afford to purchase some extra equipment that is needed for my method of pot production.....# 5 naturally ...you have to be into BONSAI ......# 6 you have to be financial enough to go into production..
ACTUALLY...I just had a thought..... we could benefit this group " AUSBONSAI " by just keeping it in the FAMILY so to speak !!
I do not wish to make any money out of this, it is purely a passion of mine and I personally feel that we need to be able to produce our own pots ( maybe only a small percentage of the market ) compared to the Chinese range...and I would like to have the knowledge of knowing that something I used to do good, is carried on.
SO if there is anyone interested, please feel free to send me a PM and we can discuss it further.
Cheers
James
