+Not being happy with the stretch out look of my pine and not wanting to do grafts, I decided after seeing leong Kwong Video on bending a Pine.

+Thought I would try a bend.

I’m not sure which will be my front, I will let it grow and think about it.

WOW! Thank you for sharing. Very impressive, especially after I have failed completely once. Might
I ask how long has it been since the pine was bended?

Thank you and best regards.

Very nice work! I wouldn't have thought of this from the look of the original tree. Well done!

Very Nice a4b, Great Trnsform of and ordinary tree to something that will be verry nice and to get that bend staying on ony 5 months is good woork

I am assuming that you split the trunk to achieve it?
if so did you only split across the trunk

Sensational job Barry

Wonderful transformation of a nice Pine to fantastic Pine. Will develop nicely with the work you have done.
Might I ask if the first little branch on the roots side of the crown is a keeper, or is it just there to help heal the split section. It certainly appears superfluous to the design.

Ken the second last picture shows the cut.
This was made as I bent the tree bit by bit then I undid the straps to straighten the trunk to take that photo and to inject vice glue into the cut before strapping the tree into position and wiring.

Hi Tony
I left all the branches on just in case one of them went to God.
Next year when I remove the wire I will look at the final design.
