i got this one from the latest in nursery design in tassie, probably in oz! Will's nursery up on the mountain, in ridgeway.

superb layout and design, world class tassie native nursery. check out ISLAND BONSAI if you get a chance :!:

notice its a bit kinky at the start, but i wanted subtle movement in this one.

i want most of the movement in the bark, check out the bark, it chunks in awesome lines up the trunk.

so in the later photo, i twisted it one full turn between the red lines, and about a half turn between the blue lines.

should be a cracker when the whole thing has barked up :!:

Nice one Aaron, I'd probably lop it at the first red line. Haven't been convinced by many literati yet so I will watch this one with interest.

Hey Jon, is the advice to lop at the 'first red line' the top line ... or the bottom. Sorry, couldn't help myself...

Aaron, LOVE the bark... what a winner. Your initial styling is great.

Hi, love the bark!
Regarding the indentification, I thought Allocasuarina littoralis is called Black she-oak and Bull-oak was Allocasuarina luehmannii.
Can anyone confirm this?

EDIT: A quick internet search seems to confirm this.
