Pot for radiata?

Here is a radiata that was in the first batch of trees i pulled when i first became interested in bonsai and i have enjoyed playing around with it and learnt from it. I know the tree isnt a stunner but i'm fond of it so i'd like to give it a pot but i'm a bit stumped on type of pot. I have a few different crescents but one tree seems to look out of place if i go for a low or a high back. Maybe a slate slab? only hesitation is summer can be harsh on them. Any suggestions? Design critiques will be taken on the chin too. I have thought about hooking the bottom tree back and toward the front to compress it and unify the two trees abit more.

Hi Gargar,
I would like to see your tree a little more compact. With this design I think the most important thing to consider when choosing a pot is that the composition looks to be stable, have you considered a slightly different front in one of your crescent pots?
