I have decided to try and sell some of my more mature trees to make room for some of the plants I have been developing from seed and cuttings over the last few years. Its really difficult to put a price on bonsai that you have been working on for so many years but I am realistic.
I would prefer pick up so I can talk to the prospective buyers about the trees pros and cons. The idea of buying anything other than raw material on the basis of a pic on line is to me unthinkable, I am probably a little out of date with that attitude.
I don't have a fixed notion on the value of these trees but would prefer to see what if anything people are prepared to offer.

Hi Craig, good luck to you. I agree with your ideas on selling your trees, which you have tended and developed over a long time. Some of which you have grown from seed and i can appreciate (and do appreciate) that you would like to meet their new owners and give them some tips on the care and individual quirks of each tree - tell them the trees history and maybe discuss future directions, knowing ofcourse that it will be the new owners choice. And as a buyer you could not hope for any better start with a new tree than this. We can all buy a stunted stick at bunnings any day of the week but its quite a special and less common opportunity to recieve a tree that alraedy has a story and a history and has had much thought, care and attention go into its development to date. If i lived a bit closer I for one would love to come and meet them, especially the first and the last ones. Unfortunately Aus is a BIG country, many of us couldn't get to you so easily.
Good luck, i hope they find good new homes and continue to develope into great bonsai.
neal.
