I recently went to Bonsai at the Bay to check out what Mason had. I came home with a Crabapple and a JBP. Heres Pics of the crabapple in its new pot. the first branch from the bottom looks abit weird or does it look okay to you guys? Any Advice would be great.

Thats quite odd wiring there. You aren't really supposed to cross the wires over eachother like that, it can cause them to bite in more easily. If it is possible you could try to bend the first section of that branch (where it emerges from the trunk) down a bit and then the next bit up again to smooth it all out and lessen the sharp kink at the beginning there. That will make it look a bit better i think.
Nice tree though!
edit - or just remove it and bend the one above down a bit, that would show a nice trunk with interesting movement, depending on the final height of the tree.
edit2 - or leave it for now as a sacrifice to thicken the lower trunk and then remove it later on
edit3 - or for a smaller tree with more movement and taper cut it off above that second branch and wire that up as the new leader. Endless possibilities!

I'll stop now!!!
Good luck with it, have fun!
neal.

The GPS unit does not pick up a signal around that area, I talked to mase on the phone to give me directions.
He has good stock that has alot of braches already in place, Ready to pot up, He has started up again so would have alot of new stock i guess.
Oh and i say cut that lower branch off.
