Thanks Luciano, some great trunks - nice age. This gives us who live in tropical areas some ideas for trees to use - for example the calliandra, we have them growing everywhere. I went and had a look at the link, I hope you don`t mind me saying Luciano. I think the trees in the display would have looked heaps better with screens behind them, they seem to get lost in the background.
Cheers Rod...

Rod, This kind of Caliandra shown at the event is a novelty in art.
Here you will find lots of trees of this variety (Fabaeceas).
The most used are: Caliandra brevipes, Caliandra Espinosa, Caliandra depauperate.

Caliandra Brevipes...

Caliandra Espinosa...

Caliandra Depauperata...
We have other varieties.

The second and third trees are and were made by a pioneer in the use of native Brazil.
Sergivaldo Costa.
Caliandra Espinosas are native to Nordeste of Brazil ...

This tree comes from a Hal-desertic area in State of Ceará.
And have many forms, since shrub at medium size tree.
Just takes this form of Weeping when wathered normally.
In the place of origin, the rains happens some days in year.

The place...

Look that..

This is a private area and the trees are colected under permission.
