Shimpaku Juniper

On recent trip to Canberra I picked up two excellent bits of stock.
The trees have a decent lineage coming from two of our better members so I will endevour to follow their progress here.

A bit of wire, some bike tyre, a turnbuckle or two and we will be halfway there for number one. Number two is a bit mroe difficult to decide, so many options, multi trunk, cascade, etc etc so I ended up running away for today.

Fantastic stock thanks gents (you know who you are!)

Ill update as I go.

Here is a pic of the tree you pointed out Hartos. It is an example of what you can get after a few years work on one of these.

Ill have to wait till I get home but Ill post the sketch I did last night when I was trying to rememeber that one.

That is where I was thinking tree number two could go.

Ive managed to not look at the picture before posting so I can see it as you will.

This is the page on my notebook I sketched a couple of the trees I saw last week. (wish my brain would remember more of them)
