English Elm Bark

The Goulburn Bonsai Society had the opportunity yesterday to dig some English Elm, and the quality of the trees on offer was very good. We did invite a few people so they too could enjoy the find, but unfortunately I forgot my camera so there is no bragging rights proof.
However last year I dug this English Elm and then planted it in the garden. Last week I dug it again and potted it. I didn't dig this because it was great potential, but because the bark was very attractive. Hopefully over the coming years the bark will continue to improve and I will be able to trim the tree down to an acceptable speciman.
