Hi People,

Up for grabs is an English Elm - Ulmus Procera, this tree is one of about 100 that I acquired in 2007 see here: viewtopic.php?f=129&t=5762

Of the 100 or so trees about 20 were planted into a containers in Sept 2007. This is one of them.

The tree stands at 63cm tall with a 6cm base, the basal flare, movement and taper of the trunk is a little more pronounced than the picture shows. This tree is ready for a bonsai pot to begin branch building and as you can see from the pictures the tree has plenty shoots to build them with. Leaf size is typically 25-30mm in length and autumn colour is golden yellow.

Asking $150 plus shipping (if required) Can't ship to WA or Tas unfortunately
Pickup can be arranged at Yarra Glen or Mt Evelyn

Last bump for this one, it either sells or I will keep it, repot and develop a nice tree from it.

Cheers,
Mojo

I need another English Elm like a hole in the head....but I can see a really nice shohin broom coming from this!

Nice start to the nebari too!

And the cut down would save on postage :P

Hi Scott, I need another broom like I need a hole in the head :D and although shohin is my thing, I reckon there is just enough movement and taper in this one to make a convincing tree at it's current height.

Cheers,
Mojo

Wow that was 2 years ago!

The thing I like about long shots is that they sometimes come in.
