Yesterday I had the opportunity to dig an old azalea hedge. I rescued 5 trees 3 have had a basic clean up prune. 2 are still soaking in seasol as it started to get dark. Nebari are very good bud I am a bit lost as to which way to go with styling.
Clump appears to be the obvious style, or do I select one interesting trunk and eliminate the rest?
Advice, virts and photos of pleasing results from similar material would be most welcome.

The first thing is to make sure they survive ( Which they should do easily by the look of them).

Take the time to let the recover and put on lots of positive growth before startig any work on them. While waiting you can Study each one an come up with a future plan for each
Clump style is always an option, but so is cutting them back hard and making a Small Sumo type tree.

I have several collected from neighbours gardens.

Out of the one plant, I have taller informal upright, Short upright, Sumo Style and a semi cascade. Hedging my bets and have one of each
