Styling advice for collected azalea

Yesterday I had the opportunity to dig an old azalea hedge. I rescued 5 trees 3 have had a basic clean up prune. 2 are still soaking in seasol as it started to get dark.
Clump appears to be the obvious style, or do I select one interesting trunk and eliminate the rest?
Advice, virts and photos of pleasing results from similar material would be most welcome.
