This is a little Podocarpus Macrophyllus it was first cut back in January last year i think and i recently potted it in this Japanese pot. It is about 35cm high and has a trunk diameter of about 7cm. It has nice nabari. Probably another two years before it starts to look any good but it is worth the wait. They are a good specimen for Bonsai, they back bud right back to the trunk. I have only been growing this one since January 2008 so i am still learning with them. I am not all that happy about what i have achieved with it since owning it but i do hope to progress with it from now on. I will wire it fully soon, i got a little dispondant with it after potting it and didnt wire it.

What i am considering doing there Ant is letting that area grow out and thicken more and then jinning the top main branch as well as a few finer side branches. What do you think?

Once the folaige fills out, i want to see quite a full structure, and have the jin sticking up above the canopy...does that make sence?
Thanks for your comments.
