Chinese Elm advice

Hi guys,

This is probably a little early to be planning, i don't know, but i'm just trying to get a plan in my head for an elm i have had growing in a large pot for 5+ years.

I have just cut it right back to the planned trunk. as you can see from the image below

I was thinking of heading in this direction (see image below.)

I was keen to hear some feed back and also any tips on encouraging branch growth to where i want them and also how to establish nice thick main branches and smaller branches spreading from that.

Hi Mate , well done on this one ,you can be given heaps of advice and idea's but at the end of the day its yours and your style is different to others .I have never seen another Picaso or another Pro Hart , we are all individuals and in time it shows in out trees .Cheers Alpineart

Yep I like the vision you have excepthe the long straight trunk bit at the apex

I would shorten that by at least 1/2, but other than that its nice :-)
