[SOLVED] Please on 2 trees

Hi all

Just need some light shed on 2 trees that have come into my possession.

I think the first tree is an Olive of some sort, and i have been told the second is some kind of Cassia, but i wouldnt know myself.. thanks

Im gessing the second pic is the olive??
Actually I was more interested in the rather sickly looking tree in the background with all the wire on it. What is it and what happened to it. Looks like you put a lot of work into it

Hey Beats,
Img6.jpg definitely looks like a wild olive. Img2.jpg is a Bauhinia, do you know what colour the flowers were?
I havent seen many Bauhinia as bonsai. The flowers wont reduce in size so a larger tree would be better suited for it. They back bud well on old wood and can grow & thicken fast.
Look forward to seeing where you go with these 2.

yes, sorry the 2nd is the Olive. lol the tree in the back ground is some sort of Juniper, it had a tuff time being transported from a friends garden to its pot...

I think everyone has these kind of failures and setbacks. I know Ive had plenty over the years. Maybe we can lean more from posting about failures and what not to do. I dont thaink you can go too wrong with the olive though. I think they are pretty tough.
