[FREE] Starter stock

I have a bunch of tree stock I am willing to give away. If you are a beginner and keen to practice on stock that cost you nothing - get in touch with me.

I dont have time to take pics, or send stuff in the post....if you want anything - you will just have to come around. There is plenty of stuff from small starters that can be grown on, up to thicker trunks that could be chopped back.

I am happy to pass this stuff on to help any keen beginners get going.... :aussie:

That's the spirit Leigh :worship: I was just down the back considering a fire sale on my trees to thin down. I was thinking I would need to cart all my unwanted stock to Sydney and have a gotta go sale.
Privet one year out of fungus attack with some tiny leaves as a reminder going strong. $5 or dig it out of the bin  I finally relented and threw some elm seedling weeds in the bin during spring clean out last year. I find it real difficult to throw trees in the bin.

Sounds Like you have better stock than me to give away I would love to have a browse ;)

Hi Glenn,
I am in Canberra. There are a few people coming over this weekend, there might not be a lot left after that! When can you come down?

Hi Leigh.

Iam new to Bonsai my first one was given to me at xmas by my wife a Chines Elm. I live in Junee NSW not far from Wagga Wagga and, not far from yourself. I would appreciate the opportunity to come to your place on Saturday 8th at a time suitable to you and gain a few plants. If you can send me a PM with your address i will come over and say Gday. All most forgot what do i need to bring along to get the plants home, i have Styrofoam boxs.

PS.

Might be a big day out the Summer Nats are on as well.

Regards.
Irish. :aussie:

I'm lined up to come over and have a look too. Leigh's offer has made me really excited to be beginning my journey into Bonsai.

I have a long history of appreciating Bonsai, but have only recently thought about starting to make my own trees. I hope to at least keep these starters alive for a few years, before I think about styling and other such intricacies :)

I'm yet another one in the queue for Leighs generous offer.
I have it on good authority that Leigh is partial to a drop of carlton draft.
So I think that because he is being so generous and that its his birthday on the 10th, that everyone taking advantage of his offer should take the good man a beer or two to say thanks and happy birthday

So who is coming? Most I have spoken to will be coming at 12:30pm Saturday 8th January 2011. I guess the better stuff will go early rather than late.
