Can anyone recommend some good books to buy on Saikei/ penjing/ landscape/group planting?? I'm looking for books with technical sections in them, not just pretty pictures... although pretty pictures is good too.

Yuji Yoshimura's Miniature Trees and Landscapes is not a bad start although it does not focus just on Landscape as the title suggests.

I recommend the Penjing book by Zhao
