Very nice indeed,
Do you plan to pot it or give it another season in the grow box?
With more ramification and some thickening and fusing at the base this tree will get better and better

At least another year or two in the grow box , mostly to get more branching and ramification on the long branch

Even though it looks like a fused tree it is in fact a single tree that has grown like this naturally

I think this tree is very good indeed. i have afew figs and this would hold its own with any of mine. it defiantly reminds me of a penjing tree. when you repot are you going for a long shallow retangle pot with the tree planted to the right of the pot slightly elevated like on a raise with that lovely lower branch cascading along the pot. I would be very happy with it

Have not given much thought to the kind of pot yet but your suggestion sounds good to me thanks. It will all depend on what I can get for it . I have to travel to get my pots as there is no supplier here.

Lovely fig!
Did you say it grew like that? Is is a collected tree from nature?
Have you tilted it from its natural? Love the way it has branched out to the left like that and also the branchlets on the crown!
Great avatar BTW!!

Hi Gianni, Yes well it grew like that with a lot of help from me and yes collected from nature many years ago. Of course it did not look like that when it was collected.
Glad you like my Avatar , got to love Davros

Nice one BB
A fine tree indeed and developing nicely. If you are keeping it in the box fpr another couple of years you will need to be careful the branches don't thicken too much. Personally I think the proportions of this tree a very nice, and it could go into a Bonsai pot now no worries to develop the ramification. Only need to keep it in the box would be of you want it all fatter. I would shorten the first branch around a 1/4 of its lenght to give the trunk more power but still maintaining the broad spread.
Great work
Best Regards
Tony

Nice work on the tree, Greg, and for a Ficus this is very creative.
I also agree on shortening the long branch a bit - or you can balance the branch by using the correct pot(half moon pots?).
I also notice a few roots on the right hand side of the tree that can be moved to the right to fuse and bring you the balance:

Hope this can further help a very nice tree.
