Grapes of Wrath

It's been a few months since I posted photos of this grape. Last pics were of flower clusters at the beginning of Spring and since then they've powered on!
Luckily none of the birdlife in my area has cottoned on to the fact I have these going :fc: so the bunches formed well, full of fruit. The only damage being a few shivelled up young ones that succumbed to our recent hot weather.
I'm pretty happy with the look of this vine, I defoliated it before New Years and, although the leaves look like they will return pretty much to the same size, I still think it's plausible as Bonsai...what do you think?.
The pot it's in ...I like, next repotting will see the feet facing the way they should and a more definite front will be apparent.

Cheers!!

I like it! Nice little tree and you get the bonus of some snacks while tending your bonsai
Good pot aswell, you need a good water reservoir to have fruit i think.
Like the avatar too !! Smiths was fun yesterdy arvo.

Thanks Neil!. I have a large water tank on the side of the house and from that a Davey water pump that links up to my retic. system. It's really handy considering the restrictions we have in place....so water isn't a problem....and yes, Grapes like lots, especially through fruiting.
Glad to hear you got a few at Smiths....not to yourself albeit. It's a fun wave when it's on...even the left can get pretty good....although not hollow like the right. The avatar??...a nasty , brute of a left somewhere North of here

Cheers!!

Love it Anthony. A very plausible Bonsai. I query the leaving on of two bunches of fruit though. Dont you think it will drain the tree to much?

Bodhi!. I agree I might have been stretching it abit...but rest assured they're no longer there...pretty dammned tasty too. I must admit I only left them on so that I could get a decent pic. If any strain has beeen put on the tree, it hasn't shown any signs :fc: , so I think she should be O.K
Thanks for the comments and input.

Cheers!
