This is my one and only tilia tree, mostly as i had NO chance of growing them b4 i moved here, another they a hard to find. I aquired this one a few months ago off a member here and its progressing nicely. The 2 new branches facing upward will be wired in winter , those branches are only this season old so for a slow species its doing well. They hate hot dry weather so protection is needed. They also dont like to be dry soil wise. I see they get nice colour in Europe so im not sure what ill get here? leaf size will reduce in time, atm im worried only building branches etc. One defoliation a year as well. Ill update as we kick into autumn. tree around 500mm tall.

Hi Noah, i agree with you Tilia -laden trees are hard to find but well worth looking out for as they go a translucent yellow in winter, this is my only one (35 years old)

This tree dose not reach its full colour as i live near the coast and dont get the colder weather

Damian i did not grow the tree, another member here did all the hard work, ill just continue with the branches, ramification etc and a pot which suits when the time comes

Your Linden is looking great Noah, are you going to put it into a pot this winter ?. I would say with the foliage holding up so well this summer you might be in for some good autumn colour.
