Cat Pee + Bonsai = not good

Noticing that one of my tree's took a turn for the worse a few weeks ago coupled by the smell of cat pee my tree suffered decent die back and I ended up cutting all the dead bits off.
Fingers crossed it pulls through after the soil flush but this is what I'm left with. I know it doesn't look too bad but I lost all of my ramification which is what made this tree my favourite...
fingers crossed it pulls through

Oh shame!!
sheesh, i had no idea this could happen. And I even have two lovely cats (owned by my housemate) that have had 6 months of chances to pee in my grow boxes (but for now they're just content with brushing up amongst the trees to get 'patted' by the delicate branches). I don't know what to say ken, losing ramification which is multiple seasons of care and growth of a favourite tree, that is just TOO SAD!!
I hope the old girl picks back up.

thanks for the kind words
I guess when I have 5 cats (yes 5) my tree's especially the big ones offer good shade and a place to hang out. Unfortunately one of my cats is very lazy and pee's and poops where she sleeps pretty often.
Oh well - fingers crossed the tree pulls back.

Again the perils of owning unrestrained cats, pops up its ugly side. I have seen the results of a Tom cat spraying though branches, and hitting one at the back of the tree.
Meant a complete restyle, of tree too.
Pup not a cat fan. or should I say irresponsible owner fan

opinions are like a***holes old mate - everyone's got one.
For the record;
De-sexed, never leave the yard during the day as they are too busy defending it from all the other cats in the neighbourhood, and they come indoors at night.

So you admit that other unrestrained Cats enter your yard

What a shame... So what can you do to keep the cats off? sensor that triggers a watering system? Cats wont like that.

Hi ken,
would'nt believe in the water bottle myth...I tried it in my previous house to stop dogs and cats using my garden and lawn as a toilet.......didnt work at all...perhaps you could stuff the offending cat in the bottle.......

john i see you have a simple solution once again

In all honesty if that cat was out here in the bush i would of done that LONG ago but it seems your in suberbia. Do you know who the owner is ? might pay to go see them and explain the situation. You shouldnt have to fork out either money or time really for other peoples neglect to there animals causing problems for you . All else fails its open season.

After getting to the end of this thread, all I could think was what kind of 'community' have I joined here. I won't go into my exact thoughts of some of these comments, because I am sure to offend.
